CloudEd EdTech Solutions LLP ("CloudEd", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website https://clouded.live and the Tutors Cloud platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. By using our services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

  • We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of our services:
  • Account information — name, email address, and password when you register as a student, parent, or tutor.
  • Profile information — for tutors: qualifications, subjects, availability, and bank/UPI details for payouts. For students: grade level and subject preferences.
  • Payment information — session fees are processed by Razorpay. We store only the Razorpay order ID and payment status; we do not store card numbers or bank account details.
  • Session data — scheduled sessions, attendance records, and session notes.
  • Communications — messages sent via our contact form or to our support email.
  • Usage data — pages visited, browser type, device type, and IP address, collected automatically via server logs.
  • AI chat interactions — messages sent to our Cloudy chatbot. These are processed by OpenAI and are not stored on our servers beyond the duration of your session.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and provide access to our platform.
  • To match students with suitable tutors and facilitate session scheduling.
  • To process payments and issue tutor payouts.
  • To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, payment receipts, account notifications).
  • To respond to enquiries submitted via the contact form or support email.
  • To improve our platform, diagnose technical issues, and ensure security.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.
  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Student Privacy

  • We take the privacy of students — especially minors — seriously. Tutors on our platform see only a system-generated pseudonym for each student; real names and contact details are never shared with tutors. Parents or guardians who register on behalf of a minor are responsible for providing accurate information and supervising their child's use of the platform.

4. Sharing of Information

  • We share your information only in the following circumstances:
  • Service providers — Razorpay (payment processing), OpenAI (AI chatbot), and our hosting infrastructure provider. Each is bound by appropriate data-processing agreements.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of CloudEd, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

  • We retain your account and session data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records).

6. Cookies and Tracking

  • We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If we introduce analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy and seek your consent where required.

7. Data Security

  • We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and role-based access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we take all reasonable precautions.

8. Your Rights

  • Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
  • Data portability (where applicable).

  • Our platform is designed to support students of all ages, including minors, under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.   • Our website may contain links to third-party sites (e.g. Razorpay, OpenAI). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies separately.

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or by a prominent notice on the site. The "Effective date" at the top of this page will always reflect the latest revision.
